Illinois Conscience Coalition Speaks out Against Governor Blagojevich's Proposed Rule

I am so happy that someone is finally taking action against Blagojevich's administrative rule requiring pharmacies to dispense the morning-after-pill and hormonal contraceptives without delay. Did he really think he could get away with denying people their civil rights and their constitutional freedom to make decisions according to their conscience by forcing them to adhere to a mindless "mandatory gubernatorial law"? Who in their right mind would make it mandatory that one human being be an accomplice to another in the act of murder?

Sorry, Governor, but only congress can pass laws. You are a peon when it comes to law-making. It is off-limits to you -- you're a member of the executive department, remember? You'll have to come up with another strategy to force your culture of death on the citizens of Illinois.
