The Most Ridiculous News Item of the Day: Clinton Says Hillary Would be Better President

I just couldn't pass this one up -- it was much too ridiculous not to comment on. Former President Bill Clinton tells us that Hillary would make a better president than he would. My dog would make a better President than he would -- is that comparison supposed to impress us? It does nothing for me. The man was involved in a torrent of sex scandals and impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives. He is allegedly responsible for the death of thousands of human beings.

Clinton states, "In some ways she would be (better) because of what we did together." What did they do together? I remember Hillary making decisions for Bill, but I don't recall any (official decisions) that Bill made on his own. I also recall a lot of friction between Hillary and Bill resulting from a zipper problem he had. I remember Hillary saying, "We are the President." She has already had one shot at it and blew it. Please let's don't go there again!

Recommendations from those who worked with Bill Clinton:

"Last time I saw (Clinton) he was swinging on the chandelier in the Oval Office with a brassiere around his head, Viagra in one hand and a Bible in the other, and he was torn between good and evil." —Congressman James Traficant, Jr. (D-Oh.)

The president looked me in the eye and told me the same thing on several occasions. And I'm not upset. You want to know why? Because I never believed him in the first place." —Sen. Robert Torricelli, on Bill Clinton's denials of an affair with Monica Lewinsky

In His own Words, Bill Clinton:

"I don't know whether it's the finest public housing in America or the crown jewel of the federal prison system." —Bill Clinton, on life in the White House

"I may not have been the greatest president, but I've had the most fun eight years."

"You know, if I were a single man, I might ask that mummy out. That's a good-looking mummy" —Bill Clinton, looking at "Juanita," a newly discovered Incan mummy on display at the National Geographic museum
