Texas voters nix same-sex marriage
Texas voters Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, making their state the 19th to take that step.
"Texans know that marriage is between a man and a woman, and children deserve both a mom and a dad. They don't need a PhD or a degree in anything else to teach them that," said Kelly Shackelford, a leader for Texans For Marriage, which favored the ban.
Texans, like most people, are aware of the adverse affects that disordered sexual unions have on their children as well as society as a whole. Thank God for their common sense and their morals.
