Join the Priests for Life Prayer Campaign for Abortion, 2006 Elections

Father Frank Pavone, founder and director of Priests for Life, is launching an 18-week prayer campaign designed to help prepare the nation for the 2006 elections. The prayers are meant to help pro-life candidates at the polls and to encourage voters to choose candidates who are most likely to help reduce or stop abortions.

The prayers include a double-novena, a pair of nine-week periods of prayer, starting on Tuesday the Fourth of July, and concluding on Tuesday, November 7, which is Election Day. The intentions of the campaign are that citizens take an active role in the elections and understand that the most important issue is abortion.

Priests for Life has set up a special web site to go along with the campaign. People are invited to say each day a prayer specially composed for the campaign. The prayer can be found on the website, and visitors can indicate online their intention to participate.

Priests for Life is also publishing a booklet called “Ten Easy Steps to Voting with a Clear Conscience" that helps pro-life voters make the best voting decisions possible when heading to the polls.
