Thirty - One -Year Old Car Crash Victim Sentenced to Death?
Adelaide, Australia - Doctors say Adelaide car-crash victim Mark Leigep will never wake from a coma, so his mother wants to turn off his feeding tube, allowing him to die. But his brother sees hope and wants him kept alive, saying the 31-year-old single father of one has opened his eyes for up to seven minutes.
Mark suffered head injuries in a car crash on March 26, and brain scans at Royal Adelaide Hospital have shown no improvement since then.
His mother, Joanne Dunn, who didn't raise him, wants his feeding tube removed after the statutory six-month period elapses for treating patients in a vegetative state.
