College Pro-Life Group Will Launch Massive Abortion Education Campaign

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A newly renamed college pro-life group plans a massive abortion education campaign this fall on university campuses nationwide in an effort to begin 100 new campus pro-life groups. Students for Life of America says the campaign will pump new life into the abortion debate by setting up groups to educate students about how abortion destroys children and hurts women.

Students for Life of America plans to start 100 campus pro-life groups in the coming semesters, which will bring the national total of college pro-life groups to 300.

“This is a major development within the pro-life movement,” said Danielle Huntley, the president of Students for Life of America. “This is the first time that a pro-life group will focus all of its energies on mobilizing the college pro-life grassroots.”

SFLA is recruiting five full-time field representatives per semester to help empower and organize fellow pro-life students. The field reps will train and educate students on how to run a college pro-life group and keep it active in the years to come. Huntley says college pro-life groups are necessary because 56% of women who have abortions are in their 20s and abortion is often the only option discussed among college students or at college health clinics.

“We are extremely excited to bring our resources to students across the country,” said Huntley. “Students light up when we give them the tools to create and sustain effective pro-life groups on their campuses.” Read the complete story.
