Promising Research to Stop Pelosi from Perpetuating the Culture of Death

The Wake Forest University and Harvard University research that I reported on yesterday has been resulting in much positive feedback from the Vatican as well as various pro-life groups.

On Tuesday, Cardinal Javier Lozano Barragan, President of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Assistance to Health Care Workers, stated that in his opinion the research holds a great deal of promise. Barragan told Vatican Radio that the amniotic stem cells “may not have problems from the ethical point of view,” because their removal does not damage the life of the donor. The Cardinal also pointed out the cells potential compatibility with their donors. Based on initial reports, Barragan concluded, “I am very glad to see this progress in the field of science for the good of humankind.”

Steve Ehrlet from LifeNews.com quotes Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women of America as saying: This latest research on amniotic cells is further evidence that we don't need to kill one life in order to save another."

According to Catholic News Agency, Troy Newman of Operation Rescue states," This new science has been able to isolate every type of stem cell needed for therapy and healing medicine without the moral concern for loss of innocent life."

With this new information in hand, what's being done to stop Nancy Pelosi from moving her plans forward to fund the highly controversial and extremely expensive embryonic stem cell research which taxpayers will fund?

The Reverend Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Coalition Defense and Troy Newman are drafting a letter to Nancy Pelosi along with the pro-life National Clergy Council, and Generation Life, an organization for pro-life youth, urging her to hold a vote on the bill (H.R. 3).

Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, is urging pro-lifers to call their members of Congress and encourage them to oppose H.R. 3.

Judie Brown, President of American Life League warns: "Americans must speak up now to put a halt to this sanctioned killing. "We can never build a true culture of life when we allow the most vulnerable and innocent of our society to be sacrificed."
