Some Reflections on The March For Life in D.C.

What a wonderful day for the pro-life community! I have been watching and listening to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. today as it has been televised on EWTN. Watching the thousands of exuberant young people and listening to all the wonderful and uplifting speakers at the March warms my heart. There are so many good people throughout this country who really care about their brothers and sisters and want to presonally do something to stop the senselss slaughter of the babies and help mothers give life to their children.

Sam Brownback's speech was especially touching as he spoke about the Chinese baby girl he adopted whose mother fought for the child's life and how special she is to him.. I was also encouraged by his comments on the special children whose lives are just as important as others and the statistic he gave - nearly 80% of Down's Syndrome babies are aborted. That is truly heart-breaking!

I am also especially proud of all the enthusiastic Kansans and the many young people out there who support the culture of life - they are the future of the movement in our country.

If you didn't get an opportunity to see it today, there are other air times listed here on EWTN's program schedule.

  1. keep up the good work. Jesus asked Peter to put his sword away, he did not want his followers using violence.Abortion is violence and murder to an created being.
If Peter could not use the sword to protect our lord, when then can we use the sword/.
