It's Catholic Carnival Time

This week's Catholic Carinival is up. It is hosted by Sarah at Just Another Day of Catholic Pondering.

Here is a sampling of the many goodies there:

It Began Here. Let it End here. written by Laura at and if not is an inspiring and uplifting post about her personal experiences during the First Friday of her Catholic bloggers' group's efforts to end legalized abortion in the place where it started - Texas. This was a touching post. Do read it as Laura's words will melt your heart and nourish your soul.

I especially enjoyed reading Esther's post on Hell. Why? We all need to be reminded of Hell in order to retain that healthy fear of the consequences of sin. In our world today, it is so tempting and easy for each one of us to fall into a state of serious sin, as the devil makes sin so attractive and appealing. A vision of Hell can be a strong deterrent in times of temptation. There are some great descriptions and insights here. This post is powerful!

Sarah's witness talk "Special Celebrations of the Eucharist" is an appealing and well-written reflection on what the Eucharist means to her, which I enjoyed very much. She describes her ongoing conversion so well - all of us can relate to her inspiring witness.

Go here for the rest of the treats.
