Crisis Magazine to Go Digital

This is good news for Crisis and for its readers. Check out the details here.

  1. I wouldn't call it good news since it is really caused by not having a large enough subscription base, and not just postage costs.

I do like Crisis though and I prefer to have magazine in a digital format instead of taking up room in my closet. Crisis went a little bit downhill for a while, but the strength of their articles has been much stronger lately.

  2. Jeff, The reason I am calling it good news is based on what Brian St._ Paul, the Crisis editor, says to Zenit: "With this transition, we're actually able to expand our mission, activities and readership while also cutting the exorbitant costs of a print magazine. This is a real win-win situation for us."

He also says: "Now, by moving to solely an online presence we will be able to reach a much broader and younger demographic than we have been able to previously."

I am familiar with the history of Crisis and have been lifting them up in prayer. I believe this is the way God is anwering my prayers and the prayers of others for them.

This sounds like a very exciting new venture for them as well as their readers.

  4. I am torn by the news. I liked reading Crisis in magazine form. Yet there were times I wished it was online.
