SAM BROWNBACK: DON'T PRESSURE PARENTS TO ABORT DISABLED BABIES

The Wichita Eagle's attempts at demonstrating they are fair-minded about presenting human life issues is laughable. The majority of their articles defend late-term abortionist George Tiller and his political cohorts who accept blood money from him for their campaigns and look the other way when he breaks the law or give him a little slap on the wrist. To demonstrate that they are unbiased the Eagle published this short article on Senator Brownback's pro-life stance today.

Today's Wichita Eagle presents an adapted excerpt from Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback's new book, "From Power to Purpose: A Remarkable Journey of Faith and Compassion" (Thomas Nelson). It's a straightforward excerpt of the Senator's position and thoughts on the The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists new guidelines recommending that all pregnant women be offered screening to determine whether their child may have Down syndrome, the consequences of that recommendation, and his pro-life stance and actions to remedy the dire situation of our those who lives are frequently terminated due to their disability.

While I found this article informative, and without surprises, what is most provocative are the insulting and derogatory comments that some "readers" have made. Perhaps some intelligent and informed pro-lifers may wish to add their comments. It is quite obvious that those who responded here do not fall into that category.

  1. The Wichita Eagle is NOT a newspaper, it is a propaganda supplement to the liberal left, and instrument of their lies and misinformation.

  2. I am so frustrated with this far left liberal rag which makes Tiller out to be a "hero" rather than the criminal he is, I have cancelled my subscription. Tiller must surely pay them to write what they do.

  3. The only thing I read in this culture of death propoganda paper is the obituary page - you can't trust anything else they print.
