Today's Prayer Intercessions

Full of gratitude, let us lift up our souls to our Lord and Saviour, who has blessed his people with every spiritual blessing. Let us ask him for his help:- Lord, bless your people.

O God, look with tender compassion on our Pope Benedict XVI and all our Bishops, priests, deacons, and seminarians - keep them safe in your church.

Lord, in your kindness protect this land we live in, fill it with peace, keep us free, and protect us from all evil.

Call your children to join you at your table:
help them follow you more closely, poor in spirit, chaste, and obedient to your holy will.

Draw those who are ensnared in the darkness of the culture of death into the light of your love, where all life is beautiful and precious to you and is treated with the utmost respect. We pray that all our world leaders will share this love for human life and work to uphold and support the dignity of all human life.

Bring peace into the hearts of those who suffer, and bless them with your healing, especially those who are struggling with cancer: Diane (who has been fighting it for almost 3 years now), Fr. L., Dave, Gloria, Robert, Harry and Vic. Bring peace and comfort to their families and caregivers.

To you we lift up Bill and place his concerns in your Sacred Heart, entrusting them to you, dear Jesus. Fill his heart with the peace that surpasses all understanding and stay close to him to encourage, comfort, and strenghten him. Fill his heart with hope and send out your Holy Spirit to give him confidence, consolation, and wisdom. Empower him with all the grace he needs to do your holy will. Send your holy angels around him to protect him and to keep him safe from harm. We humbly ask you to give him the full-time position that he needs now and trust in you to provide for all our needs. Jesus, we trust in you! Lord, have mercy!

For all those previous requests made here and those around St. Blogs,
For abundant blessings on all who are praying for us at this time,
we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, who lives and reigns forever. Hail Mary....

Gentle Jesus, do not let our hearts stray from contemplation of your Law and your unconditional and everlasting love for us; but give us, at the end, the bright reward of eternal life.
Our Father...
