Today's Prayer Intercessions

Today I am praying for the following requests and invite all my readers to join me.

The Father who loves us gives us good gifts beyond our imagining.
Let us turn to him in confidence and pray:

Father, hear your children's plea!

For all those who are diminished by deprivation and violence:

free them to live to the full we pray.

For all those who gifts remain undeveloped through lack of education or encouragement:

grant them the opportunity to thrive and grow, we pray.

For all those who have died:
bring them to the fullness of everlasting life in Christ.

For peace, comfort, and healing my friend Theresa's mother, who suffered a heart attack and a stroke, and last night underwent emergency surgery to remove blood clots from both legs. (She has Parkinson’s and dementia.) For comfort and peace for Theresa and her family.

For healing for Christine's aunt who has a brain tumor.

For healing for Julie D.'s father, who has an appointment with a new doctor today.

For Donna Marie's special intention.

For healing for Rosemary.

For Seminarian Matthew's special intention. (See updates here.)

For Adoro te Devote as she struggles with the imminent loss of her beloved dog.

For Paul's conversion.

For Esther's prayer request.

For Julie D.'s parents.

For C. who is struggling with a problem pregnancy.

For L., a woman who will be undergoing brain surgery to try to stop further brain damage caused by tumors; the surgery is planned in the beginning of August.

For all those suffering from cancer ( especially Diane (who has been fighting it for almost 3 years now), Fr. L., Dave, WI Catholic, Gloria, Robert, Harry and Vic, their caregivers, friends, and family.

For the fruitfulness of Bill's job search.

For continued healing for the accident I had on July 9 and for financial assistance to pay for the expenses entailed. (I applied for financial assistance for medication, but recently discovered that it takes several weeks to be approved.

For all those previous requests made here and those around St. Blogs.

Our Father...

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, encourage our hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word. Amen. ( 2 Thes.2:16-17)
