Today's Intercessory Prayers
The Lord has commanded us to show to one another the love that He has shown to us. Let us pray earnestly for the gift of charity made real in our daily lives, saying:
O God, give us your help.
You have said: do not judge, and you will not be judged;
grant us the compassion to seek what is good in others as you have built us up.
You have said: pardon and you shall be pardoned;
grant us the grace to forgive as you have forgiven us.
For the special intentions of the Holy Father and for special graces for all our bishops, priests, deacons, and seminarians.
For all those who have been victims of weather-related accidents throughout the world.
For the conversion of George Tiller, late-term abortionist, that the prayers of Mother Mary will draw him to the heart of Jesus.
For this special request from Thomas.
For the three Brothers who will be ordained as priests in the Community of St. John on August 25.
For the success of the 40 day life campaign.
For Stef's special prayer request: healing for B.
For Therese's Tom who is diabetic and has the flu.
Donna Marie's prayer request for Clare, who is 86, had a fall and is in critical condition at the hospital.
In thanksgiving for Bryant, who has moved to a rehabilitation center and for continued healing.
For Penni's job interview.
For this prayer request from Esther.
For Theocoid's prayer for a friend of a friend.
For Fredi's special intentions.
For Michael, that his medical bills which are a result of his work-related accident will paid by his employer and that he will continue to able to receive the therapy he needs.
For those who are out of work: that they may be spared any discouragement and that they may quickly find satisfying employment that meets their needs.
For those throughout the world who are suffering from hunger and poverty.
For all previous prayer requests mentioned here and for those of all my readers.
May the God who is rich in mercy because of his great love for us, bring us to life in Christ where we are dead in sin! Amen.
