Today's Intercessory Prayers

God has raised Mary the mother of Christ above every created thing in heaven and earth. We pray to him:- In the name of the Mother of your Son, hear our prayers.

Compassionate Father, we thank you for giving us Mary as our mother and our example.

Through her intercession, sanctify our hearts.

You made Mary your faithful servant obedient to your word.
Through her intercession, give us the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

You gave Mary strength as she stood by the Cross; at your Son’s resurrection you filled her with joy.

Through her intercession free us from tribulation and make us strong in hope.

For the special intentions of the Holy Father.

For the guidance of the Holy Spirit for our Bishops.

That priests will be men of devout faith, fervent prayer, and unfailing self-sacrifice.

For world peace and an end to terrorism.

For the safety of our military.

For those in public office: that they will be graced with a spirit of honor, love, and self-control to carry out on earth the justice of heaven.

For Marcel's wife who is being induced on Monday to give birth to their fifth child and fourth daughter. We pray for a safe and healthy delivery, peace, and comfort for mother and baby.

For WI Catholic's niece, Julie, Dave, and family, for peace and healing, following the loss of a seven month old unborn baby.

For this family, who are grieving the loss of their unborn baby, for peace, comfort, and healing.

For Linda W., who is in the final stages of liver cancer.

For healing for Marcia, who has colon cancer and for her special request for her work situation.

For continued healing for Gloria, who has cancer.

For S., a 13-year old boy who has had an operation and is in isolation at the hospital. He is non-verbal and is having a very difficult time. For peace and comfort for his mother.

For a job for Bill, age 60, who has been laid off for 7 months now and whose unemployment compensation will run out in 2 weeks.

For Sarah, a young woman with emotional problems, who is having difficulties with her medications.

For Kacy, who just had another baby girl, and is physically and emotionally very stressed. (She's living in an abusive situation with 4 children and is coping with the stress by drinking heavily.)
