Kansans for Life Reacts to Morrison Resignation

KFL grateful that AG Morrison resigns

Morrison's resignation is welcomed. The office of the Attorney General is not overseen by any authority, and thus the AG must possess the highest integrity, intellectual clarity and emotional stability. Recent events indicate that Morrison has been deficient in all those areas for some time.

We deeply grieve the pain that the Morrison family has endured. Unfortunately, we also grieve the justice denied when one industry is treated as above the law and unwilling to submit to even the most basic oversight.

Kansas late-term abortionist Tiller spent $1 million to elect Morrison. As a result, Morrison put abortion interests above protecting the public.

--He forced the dismissal of a legitimate appeal to reinstate 30 criminal charges against Tiller

--He tried to silence an impeccable witness from revealing how late-term abortions are illegally obtained for trivial reasons

--He issued a misinterpretation of Kansas late-term abortion law and claimed Tiller's offenses were limited to a dispute about professional affiliation

-- He preemptively issued a clean sweep "absolution" for Planned ParenthoodIf the public feels deceived, it is because they were in fact purposely deceived by a million dollar campaign carried out by an abortion industry intent on avoiding even the most basic of scrutiny, at all costs.

Someone needs to get to the bottom of whether or not he improperly interfered with either abortion case--Tiller's or Planned Parenthood.

Kansans for Life prays that the next Attorney General will objectively enforce the laws and not protect the special interests of the abortion industry, but given Governor Sebelius' own financial support by that industry, we are cautious at best.

  1. Justice may move slow, but this time, justice really moved in the right direction. Pray for our "Catholic Sister" Gov. Sebelius
to make a strong and qualified pick for Attorney General. Pray that she picks a Republican like Sean Corrigan McEnulty, ESQ., Wichita, that can lead the fight for life, and can treat all with dignity and respect.

  2. Gov. Sebelius picked Judge Six as her replacement for Morrison....let us pray that this choice was guided by Catholic Morality and not by Political Expediency. Pray for all persons, on both sides of this horrible abortion fight. Mary C. McEnulty
