Thousands Protest Barack Obama at Notre Dame

On May 17, 2009, thousands of pro-lifers converged on South Bend, IN, to protest Notre Dame's selection of radically pro-abortion Barack Obama as not only commencement speaker but honoree. This video tracks the 2 mile continuous protest route from I80 to the campus's main entrance. Jill Stanek rode in one of the truth trucks from the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform to capture this video.

This is just amazing! I have been involved in peaceful, pro-life protests before, but have never seen anything quite like this. How I wish I could have been there!

Jill Stanek was at the Notre Dame Grotto this afternoon watching Fr. Frank Pavone speak to pro-life graduates who refused to attend their commencement honoring radical pro-abortion Barack Obama. She has some impressive photos of Fr. Frank Pavone, Fr. Corapi, and members of the Notre Dame graduating class you'll want to see.

Norma McCorvey, the original Roe in Roe v. Wade - who renounced her ties to the pro-abortion movement was arrested at Notre Dame this morning for taking part in the peaceful protest.

Here is Norma's pro-life commercial from last year:

Barack Obama was interrupted during his commencement speech by at least four pro-lifers with shouts like "stop killing babies," and "abortion is murder," but they were immediately escorted out by campus police and their voices silenced by the audience chanting Obama's campaign motto "Yes we can."

It seems like a freak show to me. That settles it -- Notre Dame is definitely no longer a Catholic university. You can't be Catholic and be pro-abortion.

  1. Lord Help Us!
He said each side has to stop "demonizing" the other "side"...ha.
The rediculousness of this statement is that Abortion truely IS Demonic! Do you think it was a"freudian slip" of some sort?

What a sad day for Notre Dame.

  3. The photo’s by Jill Stanek are quite impressive. You won’t see any of this in the drive by media. Of course, they will never say anything negative about the abortion-in-chief.

I know the white house occupant does NOT like anything negative said about him, so I am sure he did not like what happened at Notre Dame. I hope this speeds up his down fall!

  4. I am all choked up looking at the video of the drive to the main entrance to Notre Dame. I have driven this route many times. My son is a graduate. How moving to see all the faithful standing up for life. Inspiring. I am so glad they were there. And how sad for Notre Dame. Still, I have hope that this is God calling Notre Dame to accountability, that from here we may see change. May the Lord provide ND with strong, faithful, and courageous leaders. May the forces of darkness be defeated here. May Our Lady, who I know loves this school, crush them with her foot.

  5. How appropriate for a secular blog to post a story about how abortions can really end.
