Sarah Palin Explains Her Decision to Step Down


Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is revealing more about why she made the decision to step down as the state's governor at the end of the month. She said her decision came from her independent, maverick personality and she left the door open for a pro-life presidential bid in 2012 taking on President Barack Obama.

Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee last year, told CNN that "all options are on the table" for her political future and that she wants to stay involved in the political process. Read the rest here.

I can certainly understand it. These are my thoughts, not Sarah's. I think she is a very independent woman who doesn't like to be controlled by the Obama administration or by the biased media or the radical left who are terrified of her. She's an intelligent, outspoken woman who not only speaks the truth, but lives the truth. They have been unrelenting in their harassment of her. To fight them off (She has won every case against her.) is draining the state's budget and wasting her time. She needs a break from this ongoing harassment and needs to conserve her energies and make plans for the 2012 election. She wants to enter the race and give it all she's got and win this time. She's has so much more going for her than B.O. (who basically bought his way into the presidency). It makes sense to me. If I were in her position, I would do the same thing.

    I also think she wants to get out there and fight Obama because he is destroying this country and that's pretty hard to do when you're serving under him.

    The white house occupant is destroying this country, and if you want more information, WorldNetDaily.com has found one of his college papers from 1983.

    The crack is his armor is starting. As more papers are "discovered", I am sure the American public will truly discover just how "un-American" the white house occupant is, and how the media protected him.

Today is the feast of Saint Michael de Sanctis, also known as St. Michael of the Saints, a Spanish Discalced Trinitarian priest, the patron of cancer patients. Michael Argemir was born on September 29, 1591 at Vic, Catalonia, Spain. At age 6, he told his parents that he planned to become a monk and began modeling his life after Saint Francis of Assisi. Michael’s parents died when he was about ten years old. He then served as an apprentice with a local merchant. During this apprenticeship, he continued his fervent devotion to the Lord, especially to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The saint of the day for August 31 is St. Raymond Nonnatus. He is the patron of expectant mothers, midwives, obstetricians, infertile couples, and newborn babies. Raymond was born at Portella, Catalonia, Spain in 1204, the son of wealthy parents. He was delivered by cesarean section when his mother died in childbirth. Hence his name non natus (not born). In his childhood, he seemed to find pleasure only in his devotions and serious duties. His father, sensing that Raymond was drawn to religious life, ordered him to manage one of the family farms. Raymond readily obeyed but spent his time with the shepherds and workers, studying and praying until his father abandoned the idea of making his son a worldly success. Raymond later joined the the Order of Our Lady of Mercy or the Mercederians, which was founded by St. Peter Nolasco, who devoted to ransoming Christians captured by the Moors.
