Must - See TV: Oprah to Interview Sarah Palin
I agree with this Kansas City Star editorial columnist -- these two are truly 'the Odd Couple':
Talk about 'must-see' TV: Oprah Winfrey will host Sarah Palin on Nov. 16.
Palin will get to hawk her upcoming memoir and likely best-seller in conservative America, "Going Rogue."
And Oprah likely will enjoy a ratings boost during the important November sweeps time.
Yes, that's the same Oprah who campaigned for Democrat Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, when he ran against the GOP ticket of Palin and John McCain.
But in the world of entertainment, political differences don't always matter that much.
Palin's book is scheduled to come out the day after the Oprah interview. The memoir already is a best-seller based on pre-orders, and Palin's appearance on "Oprah" could boost those numbers by exposing her views to a wider audience. Read the entire story here.
Could this be the real reason Oprah is booking Palin?
Via Drudge Report:
Oprah's staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
"Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on," an insider explains. "Oprah's website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama."
One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!
It is not clear if Oprah has softened her position after watching Palin's historic convention speech.
I will definitely be looking forward to watching this show and reading Sarah's book, America, "Going Rogue." It should be a compelling read and this should be an entertaining show.
