Colorado Personhood Movement Launches Cutting-Edge Social Media Campaign

American Life League president Judie Brown congratulated the organizers of Colorado’s human personhood campaign on the launch of their new Internet tool: My Campaign Tracker.

“We’re very excited to see this new resource that will help spread the Amendment 62 campaign’s simple yet profound message: EVERY human being should be recognized as a person and protected under the law,” Brown said.

My Campaign Tracker provides suggestions for grassroots campaign activism and allows users to track their work in support of Amendment 62 and connect with other campaigners. Supporters then can watch in real-time as their grassroots efforts are recorded and multiplied across the state.

Johanna Dasteel, director of American Life League’s personhood project, has spent the last month in Colorado assisting the campaign’s educational outreach.

“We’re working to obtain recognition of the most basic human right of all,” Dasteel said. “Human beings are persons – not property. If we’re serious about civil rights, if we’re serious about equality and the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence, then we have to reconcile the law with our American ideals: Every human being has a right to be recognized and protected as a person – now.”

Amendment 62, cosponsored by Colorado Right to Life and Personhood Colorado, reads as follows:

“Person defined. As used in sections 3*, 6**, and 25*** of Article II of the state constitution, the term ‘person’ shall apply to every human being from the beginning of the biological development of that human being.”
