The "Show Me" state rejects government mandated health care

PTL!  Way to go, Missouri! Now, once Kansas gets rid of the Sebelius clone who replaced her, perhaps they will do the same thing. I pray that all the other states will follow in the "Show Me" state's footsteps. Happy Birthday, B.O., from your beloved state of Missouri!

Barack Obama woke up this morning to not-so-happy news on what he insists is his 49th birthday. The people of the political bellwether Show Me state overwhelmingly rejected what he and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi worked very hard to give them this past spring -- government-mandated health care. The Columbian reports:
JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly rejected a key provision of President Barack Obama's health care law, sending a clear message of discontent to Washington and Democrats less than 100 days before the midterm elections.
With about 90 percent of the vote counted late Tuesday, nearly three-quarters of voters backed a ballot measure, Proposition C, that would prohibit the government from requiring people to have health insurance or from penalizing them for not having it.
There was little organized effort against Proposition C, although the Missouri Hospital Association spent $400,000 against it.  The Columbian credits Missouri's healthy Tea Party movement as being a crucial part of convincing 75 percent of Missourians that the federal government has no business requiring health care insurance.

  1. Let Missouri show the rest of the states something follow.

If it hadn't been for ultra lib in the governors mansion, Kansas would have that law now to. Wait until the new governor takes office.
