Benedict XVI: Possible new encyclical for the Year of Faith

August 2, 2012. (Romereports.com) Benedict XVI has finished writing the last volume of his book on Jesus of Nazareth which looks at the childhood of Jesus. It's now being translated from German into all major languages so that they all be released at the same time.

It's now said he may be writing an encyclical for the Year of Faith.

Benedict XVI has so far written three encyclicals. The first in 2005, was 'Deus Caritas Est'. Then 'Spe Salvi' was published in 2007 and the last 'Caritas in Veritate' in 2009.

After his encyclicals on Charity and Hope, the next is expected to be on Faith, especially now as the Church enters into the Year of Faith that is part of the New Evangelization, aimed at a deepening of faith.
