SUPPORTING PAPA

People hold placards reading 'Freedom of Expression Now' (R) and 'Everyone with the Pope, The Pope is everyone, Spaniards are with you, You aren't alone' during a gathering of several hundred Catholics in front of a statue of Pope John Paul II to show support for Pope Benedict in Madrid September 22, 2006. I decided to post two of the three photos available of the Holy Father's supporters holding placards. Of course, there are hundreds of photos of those individuals who are mocking and threatening him and burning effigies of him...hmm, you don't suppose there's a little media bias here? Or is it that they are just slightly more vocal than we are and attract more attention with their irrational behavior and bizarre and belligerent acts of violence?

Via Father Frank Pavone: First, in these days when the Holy Father is under particular attack, if you want to send him a message of support and prayers, our staff in Rome will deliver it to the offices of the Pope. Just write your message to PopeBenedictXVI@priestsforlife.org. We will get the email, and then convey it through our Rome office.

  1. it is so inspiring to see these photos, and it is wounderful to know that they come from Spain.

In light of the recent gay marriage and other anti-church legilisation pushed by the socialist goverment, I am glad to see that some Spaniards have not abandonded the Church. Perhapes these people can turn their country around.

Spain once drove the Moors out of Europe, spread the faith around the world, and beat back the communists, hopefully that nation can be great again!
