The Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul

Happy Feast day of the Conversion of St. Paul! The conversion of Saul, persecutor of the early church, was of pivotal importance for the worldwide development of Christianity. Paul means much for our faith and for the New Testament. Today we commemerate that significant event on the road to Damascus when Saul, fallen to amazement at a great light from heaven, spoke with the risen Savior and arose as Paul, to become the Apostle to the Gentiles.

"Go out into the world and tell the good news."
~ Mark 16:15

Prayer

God our Father,
You taught the gospel to all the world
through the preaching of Paul your apostle.
May we who celebrate his conversion to the faith follow him in bearing your witness to the truth.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
