NEW WEBSITE COLLECTS SURVEY DATA ON ABORTION'S IMPACT ON WOMEN AND MEN

As part of the continuing effort to examine the impact of abortion, a web site has been established at abortionresearch.net to collect data on how the abortion experience impacts those involved in it. The site will collect data through surveys of four populations: women who have experienced abortion, men involved in an abortion, grandparents who have lost grandchildren to abortion, and men and women who have worked in the abortion industry.

Visitors to the site are invited to participate in this effort to study the effects of abortion by taking part in one or more of the surveys offered on the web site. Anyone who is over 18 and has experienced the loss of a child or grandchild by abortion or who worked in the abortion industry may participate. Participants will remain anonymous and the results of the research will be presented in a way that respects their confidentiality.

The research on the site is being conducted by three researchers: Dr. Catherine Coyle, author of the book "Men and Abortion: Grief and Healing;" Dr. Vincent Rue of the Institute for Pregnancy Loss in Jacksonville, Florida; and Dr. Priscilla Coleman, a professor at Bowling Green State University in Ohio who, along with Dr. Rue, has worked with the Elliot Institute on various studies. For more information or to participate in a survey, visit www.abortionresearch.net.
