I am thinking... will my cat Jazzy have a new playmate this week? My dh Bill called to tell me that the cat we wanted to adopt is available, but we must go to the other side of town -- a thirty minute drive away -- to apply for her. I am thankful for ... the time I spent with my dh this weekend, the rain, and for my new business. From the kitchen ... the scent of fresh cherries, which I have been nibbling on. I am creating ...a new look for my family room, as I have two Wellness Parties scheduled this week. I am going ...to be planning a delectable array of nutritious and delicious smoothies (with the Juice Plus+ Complete) and fresh fruit to eat for the parties. It's true -- my boyfriend aka my dh Bill is back! PTL! Alleluia! After living and working in a different area of the state since the end of January -- he's home and I'm rejoicing! He has a job right here in town so we won't be moving! This is the answer to prayer. Thank you, Lord! Which of these videos do you prefer? I think I like the music on the original but like the dancing on the American Dreams version -- it's joyful and energetic. I am joyful at the moment, but not too energetic with this cold. In case you're wondering why I haven't been posting here as much as I normally do, I have had lots going on -- unpacking the items we had packed for moving, his moving back home, etc. I have had computer geeks coming and going and am scheduled to have a major overhaul on my computer by the "Geek Squad" this week. I am also starting a new business as well as continuing my freelance writing assignments. Lots of changes going on here, but blogging wil...

We're so sad here - due to the snowy weather and various other reasons -our family didn't come to visit this weekend as planned. I know that at least some of you are wondering what happened to me today, since I blog daily usually at the same times each day. Early this morning, the ice storm here caused our electricity to go out. After getting dressed in the dark, I went to an all - day seminar with some friends. It was an enjoyable day, but I feel as if I have neglected you, my readers. So, I will try to make up for that with a few quality posts before saying my prayers and retiring for the evening, after this very full day.

I'm back from a quick one-day trip to Missouri, where I had some unexpected and important personal business to take care of, which is why I haven't been blogging much lately. It is amazing how much news can accumulate in a day! My thanks go out to those who have made comments for de-lurking week and have stopped by to visit while I was away. One of these days, I will be purchasing a laptop. However, I have to admit that it was nice to have a brief vacation from blogging. It is rare that a day goes by without a new post. Missouri is certainly a pretty state with its many hills, forests, and beautiful lakes, but Kansas is home now, and it is where we feel most comfortable, with its bright yellow sunflowers, man made lakes, and mostly flat land When ( Father Benedict Groeschel was here for the Midwest Catholic Conference) he said,"I get along with this place. Eldorado Lake We took a little drive out to Eldorado Lake today to see what it was like. This was the first time we had been there since we moved to Kansas from IL - almost two years ago. It was very peaceful and relaxing there. Both Bill and I love nature and the outdoors. When he was taking aptitude tests in junior college and was trying to discern his future plans, one of his highest results was to be a forest ranger, which I could tell without even testing him from our first date. After eating out at a nice restaurant, we had to go to a nearby park to walk and talk and enjoy the warm summer weather. Each time thereafter, we seemed to end up walking in a park or hiking on a forest trail and he had many interesting tales to tell about the trees, the plants, the insects, the squirrels, the wolves, the deer, the coyotes, the birds, the fish, and the weather. Sorry for the lateness in posting. Now that my dh is out of work and we no longer have health insurance, I have been trying to get prescriptions for my FMS from my doctor's office as I was advised to do by our parish nurse; however, they have no free samples, but have promised to check the drug company programs. I called a local Catholic clinic and they need prior records from a doctor I have seen only three times and need me to fill out forms, etc, etc. Then, in about ten years from now, I will probably be able to get in, but they have only one of my three prescriptions. I have contacted my chiropractor to see if they can see me at a reduced price...still waiting for a call back. My doctor's office (who can't see me because I have no health insurance) told me that I need to relax, rest, and take ibuprofen for pain, get an ace bandage for my sprained wrist, and soak in epsom salts and in a few weeks, and I should be feeling better. Hi folks! I just returned home from the mall, where I had an accident. Bill and I attend daily Mass at 5:30 p.m. and afterwards, do our daily walk at the mall for about 30 minutes. During Mass, we heard heavy rain falling, but it let up afterwards. When we got to the mall, we were feeling good. We both had a good nights' sleep and were feeling pretty energetic, so we decided to walk at a good pace. About 20 minutes into our walk, I found myself on the floor - with my backside turned slightly toward the right, leaning on my right wrist. Needless to say, my backside is bruised and my wrist is pretty sore. There was a large puddle of water on the floor that neither my husband nor I saw on the shiny white surface under the dim lights. We reported it to the security guard there, he took notes, and said he would write up a report. When we left, the streets in that area were flooded, so there were other mall security officers around the mall directing traffic. When you have arthritis and ...

This is a beautiful assortment of lilies near our pond. Some purple to add color. I love these little flowers - they're so dainty and delicate. My favorite lilies are the pink. It looks like the high humidity is showing up in this photo. The pink roses decorate the side of our house. The fragrant Moon flowers open up only at night. We have several flowers and blooms on this plant now, which has grown considerably. The blooms are satiny and they are as white as freshly fallen snow. Photographer: my husband, Bill
