As I write you today, the situation in Uruguay is extremely perilous! The agents of death are intentionally sacrificing the women and unborn of Uruguay in order to establish an abortion beachhead in Latin America. A loophole in Uruguay's laws allows for "abortion counseling" in public hospitals. Acting as "counselors", abortion advocates tell vulnerable women that they'd be better off killing their babies ... and that abortion is a "reproductive right." Official statistics reveal that 90% of Uruguayan women "counseled" in this way choose to have an abortion. Once they do, medical personnel tell them how to obtain the drug Misoprostol in pharmacies or on the black market ... and how to use it at home in order to abort their babies. The Senate Appropriations Committee has added an amendment to the 2008 War Supplemental Bill (H.R. 2642) that pro-life advocates say would benefit the nation's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood. The measure would once again allow Planned Parenthood clinics and university health centers to receive drugs at discounted prices, according to Wendy Wright, president of the pro-life group Concerned Women for America. It sounds like something from a horror film, but it's actually being done in this country. Dr. Paul A. Bryne, a Neonatologist, and Director of Neonatology and Director of Pediatrics at St. Charles Mercy Hospital in Oregon, Ohio, writes about it in an article published in Renew America today. Act protects women from financial pressure to abort children with genetic disorders - In an important blow to the eugenics movement, President George Bush yesterday signed into law a bill preventing health insurance companies and employers from discriminating against born or unborn individuals on the basis of genetic information. "It protects our citizens from having genetic information misused, and this bill does so without undermining the basic premise of the insurance industry," said Bush of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA). Proponents of the GINA have expressed fears that healthy individuals with genetic dispositions toward certain diseases could end up paying more for insurance. Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, has sent a letter to the bishops of the world with the approval of Pope Benedict XVI reaffirming the norms established by the Congregation for Catholic Education in the 2005 document, “Instruction Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocation with regard to Persons with Homosexual Tendencies in view of their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders,” as universal and without exceptions. The continued support that Catholic voters have given to politician who support legal abortion "borders on scandal," Boston's Cardinal Sean O'Malley said in an interview with the Boston Globe. Cardinal O'Malley criticized the Democratic party for its stands on issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage, and expressed his impatience with the voters of Massachusetts who have continued to elect Democratic political candidates.
