What's up with Sarah Palin?

Sarah Palin announced her resignation as Governor of Alaska at the end of the month. Palin decided not to seek a second term as Governor. Instead of serving as a lame duck, she has decided to resign and relinquish her office to the Lieutenant Governor. She sounds really fed up with the stupidity of the Obama administration (my words, not hers), who have been trying to dig up dirt on her and have been wasting the state's time and money on ridiculous "ethics" complaints. She wants to "build" up the state and our country, rather than tear it down like the current administration is trying to do. She refuses to deal with politics as usual. Watch the whole video, which is very revealing. Is she getting ready for 2012? I certainly hope so! Go, Sarah! You are awesome!

Question: If I'm dead, can I receive a stimulus check?

Answer: Why, of course! This week, thousands of people are getting stimulus checks in the mail. The problem is that a lot of them are dead. A Long Island woman was shocked when she checked the mail and received a letter from the U.S. Treasury -- but it wasn't for her. Antoniette Santopadre of Valley Stream was expecting a $250 stimulus check. But when her son finally opened it, they saw that the check was made out to her father, Romolo Romonini, who died in Italy 34 years ago. He'd been a U.S. citizen when he left for Italy in 1933, but only returned to the United Stated for a seven-month visit in 1969. The Santopadres are not alone. The Social Security Administration, which sent out 52 million checks, says that some of those checks mistakenly went to dead people because the agency had no record of their death. That amounts to between 8,000 and 10,000 checks for millions of dollars. The feds blame a rushed schedule, because all the checks have to be cut by June. The strange th...

Sam Brownback: Why I voted against the Stimulus Bill

Image
Last week, the stimulus bill passed both the House and Senate and was signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday. Kansas Senator Sam Brownback voted against it and explains why here: "I voted against the stimulus bill because a huge increase in government spending is not the answer our economy needs. There are some good provisions in this bill, but not nearly enough to outweigh the overwhelming bad. This stimulus package threatens to be the beginning of our next bubble – a big-government bubble, where we try to use debt and leverage to spend our way into prosperity. We are considering an amount of spending that, even when adjusted for inflation, far outstrips the New Deal, the Louisiana Purchase, the Marshal Plan or the Moon Race." The stimulus package has a $787 billion price tag. It is the single biggest increase in the deficit in American history. The bill increased the debt limit to an all-time high of $12 trillion, and represents 5.5% of the GDP. "The hastily c...

Sarah Palin: Obama Should Veto Stimulus Bill

Greta Van Susteren travelled to Alaska to interview Sarah Palin and her family. Greta asked her about the stimulus bill just passed by Congress. Palin said that President Obama should veto the Stimulus Bill. He should send it back to the lawmakers so they have time to actually read it and understand its impact. Palin supported plans for new infrastructure spending, but opposes expansion of social programs. Palin also went out of her way to express her opposition to the Fairness Doctrine. She said it is dangerous to attempt to silence those that are asking questions about our government.

Stimulus Provision Endangers Seniors, Opens Door for Euthanasia

The following is a statement from Judie Brown, president of American Life League , on the eugenics element woven into the healthcare provisions of the stimulus package agreed upon by the House and Senate Feb. 11 as reported by the Associated Press and San Jose Mercury News. "Our elected representatives have fed on the fears of a nation gripped by economic panic to legislate state-enforced euthanasia. President Obama's economic stimulus package puts a price tag on each of our heads. The package's healthcare provisions threaten the elderly and open the door for euthanasia and nationalized health care. Patterned on a plan outlined by Sen. Tom Daschle in his book "Critical: What We Can Do About the Health Care Crisis," the plan will have the greatest impact on seniors and places the country a step closer to mandated euthanasia of the elderly, infirm and those deemed undesirable. This is a disgusting direct attack on the worth and human dignity of all people, regardle...

Obama's Stimulus Plan: Designed to Ruin Your Health

From WND: Betsy McCaughey, former lieutenant governor of New York and an adjunct senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, has released a commentary warning about the likelihood of rationed care – or a health care system that simply provides treatment when it determines the cost-benefit ratio for the treatment and the patient meets its guidelines. Get the details here: Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan: Betsy McCaughey It's obvious that this plan threatens your chances of getting safe, effective medical treatment and that the elderly are the ones who will suffer the most from it. However, it's not going to adversely effect Obama or those in power -- just us common folk. Tell congress we don't want their stimulus bill! Sign the petition: http://nostimulus.com/

Now, this is good news!

Angry Voters Flood Capitol with Calls Against Stimulus Switchboard operators at the Capitol say that frustrated voters are jamming phone lines with calls to Senators and Congressmen against Obama's and the Democrats' proposed economic stimulus plan. Some Senators report that calls to their offices about the plan are running in the hundreds per day, up from just a handful last month. Voters are upset both at the cost of the plan, which is at over $900 billion currently, and the recent tax troubles of Obama Administration nominees, which is feeding the perception that there are different sets of rules for the well connected and the ordinary citizen. Stimulus Package still funds anti-family programs

A multi-million dollar proposal for contraception and abortion has been removed from the huge economic stimulus bill. But the bill still contains funding for controversial projects. Earlier this week Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-California) vehemently defended the idea of spending millions of dollars on birth control and abortion as part of the economic stimulus package. "Contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government," she stated on ABC. But after pro-life advocates -- including several in Congress -- cast a spotlight on that portion of the package, it was removed. The U.S. House passed the stimulus package on Wednesday and has now passed it on to the Senate. Article Related Post: Act Now: Stimulus Stupidity Bill Must Die

Act Now: Stimulus Stupidity Bill Must Die

Michelle Malkin shares the sordid details, and encourages us to melt the phones, calling our representatives, to let them know that we're not buying the propoganda. I agree with The Anchoress , who believes that "the package does not seem to create many jobs at all - but it does keep shoveling money at the people who waste it while producing nothing and creating few jobs ." The stimulus bill is now approaching 900 billion dollars and the money is being wasted. More than 70,000 layoffs were announced this week and fresh data showed unemployment last month rose in all states. Why isn't this money being spent to help those of us who are suffering as a result of the bail-out? We need a stimulus program that will actually stimulate and encourage economic growth rather than support Obama's favorite social programs.
