Palin Responds to Obama Speech

Sarah Palin response via FaceBook to President Obama's speech last night: After all the rhetoric is put aside, one principle ran through President Obama’s speech tonight: that increased government involvement in health care can solve its problems. Many Americans fundamentally disagree with this idea. We know from long experience that the creation of a massive new bureaucracy will not provide us with “more stability and security,” but just the opposite. It's hard to believe the President when he says that this time he and his team of bureaucrats have finally figured out how to do things right if only we’ll take them at their word. Our objections to the Democrats’ health care proposals are not mere “bickering” or “games.” They are not an attempt to “score short term political points.” And it’s hard to listen to the President lecture us not to use “scare tactics” when in the next breath he says that “more will die” if his proposals do not pass. In his speech the Preside...

What's up with Sarah Palin?

Sarah Palin announced her resignation as Governor of Alaska at the end of the month. Palin decided not to seek a second term as Governor. Instead of serving as a lame duck, she has decided to resign and relinquish her office to the Lieutenant Governor. She sounds really fed up with the stupidity of the Obama administration (my words, not hers), who have been trying to dig up dirt on her and have been wasting the state's time and money on ridiculous "ethics" complaints. She wants to "build" up the state and our country, rather than tear it down like the current administration is trying to do. She refuses to deal with politics as usual. Watch the whole video, which is very revealing. Is she getting ready for 2012? I certainly hope so! Go, Sarah! You are awesome!

Sarah Palin Rejoices in Human Life, Special Olympics

This is a beautiful and gracious presentation by Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. What a strong contrast it is to what Barack Obama has expressed about the Special Olympics! That is the difference between the culture of life and the culture of death. The culture of life celebrates every human life, whereas the culture of death seeks destruction of human life when it is "inconvenient" or for any other excuse they invent.

Palin Proclaims March Trisomy Awareness Month in Alaska

Image
WHEREAS, trisomy is the presence, within a person’s cells, of an extra set of chromosomes instead of the regular two. WHEREAS, the most common trisomies in newborns are trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), and trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome). WHEREAS, trisomy pregnancies can present unusual complications and can be more at-risk than non-trisomy pregnancies. WHEREAS, the life of every child is precious, regardless of the number of chromosomes he or she may possess. WHEREAS, parents should take advantage of the local support groups and online communities that offer education, encouragement, and counseling for those managing trisomy pregnancies or raising trisomy-affected children. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sarah Palin, Governor of the state of Alaska, do hereby proclaim March 2009 as: Trisomy Awareness Month in Alaska, and give full support to raising awareness and education for all forms of trisomy, as well as efforts supporting families experiencing trisomy, and to helping p...

Sarah Palin: Obama Should Veto Stimulus Bill

Greta Van Susteren travelled to Alaska to interview Sarah Palin and her family. Greta asked her about the stimulus bill just passed by Congress. Palin said that President Obama should veto the Stimulus Bill. He should send it back to the lawmakers so they have time to actually read it and understand its impact. Palin supported plans for new infrastructure spending, but opposes expansion of social programs. Palin also went out of her way to express her opposition to the Fairness Doctrine. She said it is dangerous to attempt to silence those that are asking questions about our government.

Happy Belated Birthday, Sarah!

Abortion vs Wolves

The View: Spat breaks out over abortion vs. wolves February 5, 2009: It was fine for Whoopie Goldberg to bring up the Ashley Judd (false) ad blasting Sarah Palin for supporting predatory wolf thinning. But it was not fine for Elizabeth Hasselbeck to query why someone like Judd could then be so pro-abortion. Be sure to check out the Judd vs. Palin post with videos at Faith of a Convert. ~ Via Jill Stanek.

Thank you, Sarah Palin!

They forgot, "Thank you for standing up for special-needs kids and the unborn, and thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us." However, I will say it for them. Thank you for upholding the precious gift of life, Sarah Palin. Thank you for being a living example of love to us! God has other plans for you now, but we hope you will consider running for election in 2012 -- our country needs you! God bless you! Happy Thanksgiving! H/T: Granny Grump

The NY Times gets it right on Sarah!

Win or Lose, Many See Palin as Future of Party Despite all the criticism, she has many supporters among Republicans who see her as bright, tough and a star in a party with relatively few on the horizon. “She’s dynamite,” said Morton C. Blackwell, who was President Ronald Reagan's liaison to the conservative movement. Mr. Blackwell described vying to get close to Ms. Palin at a fund-raiser in Virginia, lamenting that he could get only within four feet. “I made a major effort to position myself at this reception,” he said, adding that he is eager to sit down with her after the election to discuss the future. Asked if the weeks of unflattering revelations and damaging interviews had tarnished her among conservatives, he replied, “Not a bit.”

In it Palin brought up Obama's opposition to parental notification legislation, support of partial birth abortion, "and most troubling his opposition to the child born alive act." She continued, "But to withhold medical intervention for a baby who is born alive as a result of a botched abortion and to allow that child to die without the medical intervention that that child deserves I, it's appalling to me and I think it should concern voters...." ~ Via Jill Stanek.
