Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests

"I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment" (Jesus to St. Margaret Mary). Today is the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus . It is also the day Bill and I will participate in the enthronement of the Sacred Heart in our parish and our home. Enthronement of the Sacred Heart is a solemn act of a family giving formal recognition of the kingship of Christ over their family and home and the official, ceremonial beginning of a family's commitment to live out the effects of their recognition of Christ's Kingship.
