Obama Lies on Abortion, ACORN Ties, at Third Debate

Third 2008 Presidential Debate (Full Video) Obama has been deceiving the American people throughout this election, so it's not suprising that he continued to lie at the third and final debate. If he were truthful with the American people about his actions and beliefs, he knows he would lose this election, so he continues the deception in an attempt to win, just as his ACORN supporters continue to cheat for Obama in order to win him this election. Obama tells several lies in this debate. The ones I want to focus on in this post include abortion and his ties with ACORN. On the BAIPA, John McCain provided this opening: Sen. Obama, as a member of the IL State Senate, voted in the Judiciary Committee against a law that would provide immediate medical attention to a child born of a failed abortion. He voted against that. And then, on the floor of the State Senate, as he did 130 times as a state senator, he voted present. Then there was another bill before the Senate Judiciary Committee i...

Obama, McCain React to Economic Crisis

Barack Obama who has decided to continue campaigning in the face of a possible failure on the bailout of the banking crisis may be called irresponsible considering the Democratic Congress has accepted money from Both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac during a time when Republicans Like John McCain were introducing legislation that could have averted this crisis , others like Chris Dodd and Barney Frank have stood in the way of such legislation while Senator Barack Obama seems to have been holding his tongue on the matter. Breaking: McCain Halts Campaign to Focus on Financial Crisis

Via WorldNet Daily : In a dramatic move, Republican Sen. John McCain announced he is suspending his presidential campaign to focus on addressing the Wall Street crisis and called on Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama to do the same. McCain also asked that the debate scheduled for Friday in Oxford, Miss., focused on foreign policy, considered his strong suit, be postponed. The Arizona senator said he believes the $700 billion bailout bill in Congress will not pass and urged Obama to join him in working out a new deal before Monday. McCain said lawmakers need to show the kind of patriotism displayed in the wake of the 9/11 attacks and "temporarily set politics aside." "If we do not act, every corner of this country will be impacted," he said. "We cannot allow this to happen." The Obama campaign, according to Fox News, issued a statement suggesting it actually made the first move to set politics aside to address the country's financial woes. More to come....

McCain leading in the Catholic Vote

Following the party conventions and after a week of campaigning, John McCain has closed the gap significantly among Catholics likely to vote. Mr. Wagner of QEV, who undertook the landmark Catholic Voter Project for the 2000 election cycle and has been studying Catholic voter attitudes for more than a decade, points out that McCain has pulled to within two points of Barack Obama, 45-47 percent (8% undecided) among all Catholics. · In a mid-August, pre-convention QEV survey, McCain trailed Obama 40-50 percent, with 10 percent undecided. · This is a group Bush ultimately won 52-47 percent in 2004. · At this point in the 2004 campaign, Bush led Kerry among Catholics 47-46 percent. · At this point in the 2000 campaign, Gore led Bush 52-41 percent. For the first time in recent memory, leaders of the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops have invited the two presidential candidates to meet with them before the election. Neither Republican John McCain nor Democrat Barack Obama have replied to the invitations offered last month, said Sister Mary Ann Walsh, spokeswoman for the conference. A spokeswoman for the McCain campaign said the senator wants to accept, but does not yet know if such a meeting will fit into his schedule. A spokesman for the Obama campaign could not be reached for comment. Five bishops who lead policy committees -- delving into matters including abortion, education, migration, international affairs and communications -- want to discuss the candidates' views on social issues, said Bishop William Murphy of the Rockville Centre diocese in New York state. He is chairman of the bishops' domestic policy committee. The meetings, if they occur, will be private and off the record, he said. "This isn't born ...

Image
In the latest of a series of invasions into Sarah Palin’s personal life, hackers have broken into the Republican vice presidential candidate’s private e-mail account, and a widely read Web site has published screen grabs from it. An article Wednesday in Gawker.com posts family photos and snapshots of e-mail exchanges the Alaska governor had with colleagues. Gawker says the-email account has since been shut down, but it will leave the images up on its site for all to see. ( Fox News) This is a shocking invasion of the Governor's privacy and a violation of law," said Rick Davis, campaign manager for the McCain-Palin campaign, in a statement. "The matter has been turned over to the appropriate authorities and we hope that anyone in possession of these e-mails will destroy them. We will have no further comment."
