The Killing of George Tiller: Video Refutes Pro-life 'Terrorist' Accusations

"The murder of abortionist George Tiller cannot be condoned," said Thine Eyes producer, Jack Cashill. "But neither can sweeping accusations of terrorism against the pro-life movement ." In response to accusations of so-called pro-life terrorism, the producers of Thine Eyes have posted for free the documentary, "Thine Eyes: A Witness to the March for Life" at www.thineeyes.org . "Any thinking person will reject the notion that the Pro-life Movement is now a 'terrorist' organization as a result of one unaffiliated man's crime," said Cashill. "Unfounded accusations of Pro-life 'terrorism' are easily refuted by the new documentary."

Fr. Frank Pavone's encouraging words on the Obama election

Fr. Frank Pavone lifts us up with his truthful, encouraging, and inspiring words in this video. If you are like me, this election has left you feeling disappointed, but not without hope. For, we know that God can bring good out of evil. Also, it was His permitting will that Barack Obama be elected to this post. Our sufferings and prayers have not been in vain -- God is using them in a powerful, but mysterious way for good. He has chosen us for His very own and has given us special graces to do His work here on earth. We are currently operating in the "Good Friday" mode, but we must remember that Easter Sunday awaits us. Let's be thankful to God in all things as we continue to place our trust in HIM. God bless you and let's continue to fight the good fight! Never give up! "This movement is headed for victory!" (Fr. Pavone) ~ Jean Related Post: A Grave Mistake and an Abiding Hope

A Grave Mistake and an Abiding Hope

Fr. Frank's views are closest to my own as I reflect on this election and move beyond the "nightmare" stage. Fr. Frank Pavone National Director, Priests for Life Americans have made a grave mistake in electing Barack Obama to the presidency. Yet America herself remains great and is not a mistake, which is why so many of her citizens will continue, with even greater energy and determination, to defend her founding principles. The man elected to the Presidency said during the campaign that he does not know when a human being starts to have human rights. How can one govern from that starting point of ignorance? Governing is about protecting human rights; to do it successfully, you have to know where they come from, and when they begin. The President-elect has already failed that test miserably. The American people do not share Barack Obama’s extreme and offensive views on abortion. They never have and they never will. The coming four years will see a widening gap between t...

St. Max, Mother Mary, the Pro-life Movement, and Me

Image
By Jean M. Heimann Today is the feast day of St. Maximilian Kolbe, one of my favorite saints. As a Conventual Franciscan, he graciously assisted me during one of the most difficult times in my life and in my marriage - a dark night of the senses - approximately seven and a half years ago. The Lord led me to seek spiritual direction from a Conventual Franciscan (much like St. Maximilian Kolbe) who guided me on the path to a closer relationship with Our Lord and recovery home to a world of hope. At the time, family members, who lived thousands of miles away were seriously ill, my husband was unexpectedly laid off (for a six month period) and we were facing serious financial difficulties. I was chronically ill and unable to work outside our home, although I made attempts at doing so. The Lord was showing me the meaning of true humility and total dependence on Him. This is when St. Maximilian Kolbe entered into my life. St. Maximilian Kolbe was born in Russian - occupied Poland on January...
