The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian -- A Movie Review
The four Pevensie children, those former kings and queens of old, return to Narnia, via an underground subway station, near Trafalgar Square, only to discover that 1300 years have passed since they ruled there, and the evil King Miraz has taken charge. With the help of the heroic mouse Reepicheep, and the exiled heir to the throne, Prince Caspian, they set out to overthrow the King. Like The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian is visually stunning and the acting is superb. The children are older and more grown up in this film and are given greater challenges in this film which they handle exceedingly well. This second episode of Narnia as contrasted with the first takes on a different tone. While it remains strongly Christian in its theme and values, Prince Caspian tends be less reflective and fantastical but is more action-packed and moves at a faster pace than The Lion, Witch, and The Wardrobe.
