Earlier this week I posted on Barack Obama's pick for surgeon general, Regina Benjamin, who urged that future physicians be trained to learn how to perform abortions. Now we have updated information on Benjamin which confirms her pro-abortion stance. A clinic employee who declined to be identified said by telephone that patients seeking information about abortions would be referred to providers in the state. President Barack Obama named Alabama physician Regina Benjamin as the next Surgeon General of the United States. Benjamin is an African-American doctor who is known for rebuilding her medical clinic after it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and then ravaged by fire in 2006. However, Benjamin has also urged that future physicians be trained to learn how to perform abortions. More here.
