Catholic League president Bill Donohue announced today the start of an educational campaign informing the public about the agenda behind “Angels & Demons.” The movie, which opens May 15, is based on the book by Dan Brown. This is the first of several news releases scheduled on this subject: “Next week we will begin to make available to the public a booklet that I wrote on ‘Angels & Demons.’ It details the myths, lies and smears that are made against the Catholic Church. It also provides evidence of the anti-Catholic animus harbored by those associated with the film. “Author Dan Brown and director Ron Howard are getting good at this. ‘The Da Vinci Code’ was replete with falsehoods presented as fact, and now the tag team is back again delivering a curious blend of fact and fiction. Ron Howard Filming another Dan Brown Novel Actor Tom Hanks is in Rome for the filming of Angels and Demons, a film adaptation of the book by Dan Brown. Director Ron Howard is working on the film version of Brown's novel, following up on his previous cinematic rendition of another novel by the same author, The Da Vinci Code. Scenes are already being staged around the Pantheon in Rome. The production of Angels and Demons will cost more than $100 million. The film is due to make its appearance in theaters next summer. The DaVinci Code was bad enough, but now we have its follow-up coming out. And who would have suspected that sweet little Opie of The Andy Griffith Show would be inflicting us with this garbage? I can't even imagine Richie of Happy Days doing it .
