Pregnant Women and Swine Flu Testing

Image
I have been blogging about the dangers of the swine flu vaccine and continue to receive warnings from friends in the medical field about the dangers of this vaccine to both the mother and her unborn child. Recently, I  found this startling news at Lake County Right to Life : A trial of the swine flu vaccine will be conducted at Baylor College of Medicine, Group Health Cooperative Ctr. for Health Studies in Seattle, St. Louis University, Vandervilt University in Nashville, Duke University in North Carolina and Scott & White Memorial Hospital & Clinic in Texas. This study will be conducted and funded, through the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NID). Pregnant women are usually exempt, from medical research, that doesn't involve issues relating to pregnancy. The reason is, to protect them and their babies, from dangerous side-effects of drugs. I take the liberty in this blog, to ask, why a pregnant woman would subject herself ...

Swine Flu Vaccine containing mercury to be given to children, pregnant women

The Washington Post confirmed that the swine flu vaccine, which is set to be rolled out nationwide this fall in what some fear could ultimately become a mandatory vaccination program, will contain mercury, a toxin linked with autism and neurological disorders. Around 12,000 U.S. children will be used as guinea pigs for the experimental swine flu vaccine also known to contain the dangerous ingredient squalene, which has been directly linked with cases of Gulf War Syndrome and a host of other debilitating diseases. There's more -- “ Vaccine makers and federal officials will be immune from lawsuits that result from any new swine flu vaccine, under a document signed by Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius,” reported the Associated Press earlier this month. Go here for the full story. Guess who will be the first to get this vaccine? St. Sylvia, Patron of Pregnant Women

Image
St. Silvia (also Sylivia) was the mother of Pope St. Gregory the Great . She was born about 515 (525?) and died about 592. There is little information available about her life. Her native place is sometimes listed as Sicily, sometimes as Rome. She came from a distinguished family as did her husband, the Roman regionarius, Gordianus. She also gave birth to a second son, whose name is unknown. Silvia was noted for her great piety, and she gave her sons an excellent education. After the death of her husband she devoted herself entirely to religion in the "new cell by the gate of blessed Paul". Gregory the Great had a mosaic portrait of his parents executed at the monastery of St. Andrew. Silvia was portrayed sitting with the face, in which the wrinkles of age could not extinguish the beauty, in full view; the eyes were large and blue, and her expression was gracious and animated. In the ninth century an oratory was erected over her former dwelling, near the Basilica of San Saba....

St. Margaret of Antioch, Patron Saint of Pregnant Women

Image
Margaret of Antioch was a Christian virgin whose tortures and martyrdom became famous in early books of Acts. According to her legend, she was the daughter of a 3rd or 4th century pagan priest of Antioch who either threw her out of the house when she converted to Christianity or who was converted by her nursemaid. She was noticed by the local prefect who wanted to marry her, but she spurned him and vowed to keep her virginity for Christ. He turned her in to the Roman authorities to be persecuted. In prison she was swallowed by Satan in the form of a dragon, but the cross she was carrying irritated his throat, and he spit her out unharmed. Her persecutors tried to kill her by fire and then by drowning, but each time, she survived, converting the growing crowd of onlookers. Finally, she was beheaded, along with her many converts, by Emperor Diocletian. She was buried at Antioch, but her remains were taken later to Italy where they were di...
