This is a beautiful version of the Salve Regina! The Salve Regina is a Gregorian hymn chant of the Roman Catholic Church in honor of Mary, Mother of God. It is also a common prayer to the Virgin Mary; usually recited at the end of the rosary.

The "Salve Regina" is one of four Marian antiphons sung at different seasons within the Christian liturgical calendar of the Western Churches. The Salve Regina is sung in the time from Trinity Sunday until the Saturday before the first Sunday of Advent. In the vernacular as a prayer to the Virgin Mary, the Hail Holy Queen is the final prayer of the Rosary. The work was composed during the Middle Ages most probably by a German monk Hermann of Reichenau and originally appeared in Latin, the prevalent language of Western Christianity until modern times. Traditionally it has been sung in Latin, though many translations exist. These are often used as spoken prayers.

This is my favorite version on video -- it most closely resembles the Brother's voices in my Community.

This is the Latin chant "Salve Regina" (or Hail, Holy Queen, which is a common Catholic prayer) performed by the monks of the Abbey of Notre Dame. This is so beautiful! It sounds just like the Brothers in my Community, although it is not. I enjoy listening to this to relax and to surrender my trials to Our Mother Mary.
