Vatican prepares to welcome 150,000 people for next Pilgrimage of Families
October 10, 2013. (Romereports.com) Pope Francis has made it abundantly clear he's concerned about the family. The topic will be the focus of his pontificate's first synod. But he'll have the chance to address his concerns at the next Pilgrimage of Families to the Vatican, from October 26-27. MSGR. And I think it's also a signal, in my point of view, for other institutions to place the family at the center of their concerns.” The Pilgrimage celebrates the Year of Faith, and the Vatican expects some 150,000 people from over 75 countries to attend. They will meet with the Pope twice. The first will be on Saturday, October 26, during the profession of faith at St. Peter's Square.
