This is an update on my request for help with technical problems I have described in previous posts . The problems I was having previously have been identified by Christine . (Thanks so much!) Although the problem has not been totally resolved, she has shared with me ways of working around it. I am sharing this with you, just in case you experience similar problems, as I struggled for weeks with this, searching for an answer. From Christine : I've been having the same problems with the layout freezing, and what I've done to kick it right (each and every time, mind you) is to go into "HTML" in layout, click the "Expand Widgets" box, wait for it to reload, then go back to the movable widgets page. It has worked, as far as I know, every time, and I think it might also kick the fonts and colors into the right gear, as well. I thought it was me, since I had to downgrade from IE7 to IE6. I continue to need help with my blog. Although I have joined two help groups, no solutions have been offered. I have contacted individual bloggers for help, but, for whatever reason, it hasn't been forthcoming. These are the problems I have been having: 1. My layout freezes up halfway so that I am unable to change anything on it. 2. I am unable to change fonts and colors in the template. These are the things I have tried already that have not worked: 1. Switched to a new template. 2. Eliminated my blogger news widget. 3. Eliminated my "About You" widget. 4. Checked out my RAM to be sure I have enough -- OK. 5. Changed my security settings from medium high to medium 6. Cleared the Java cache. 7. Checked to see that the Java plug-in was working 8. Dear Readers, I apologize for not posting as often as I normally do and for the mess here. For some reason, I am unable to change anything on my blog. To see if it would make a difference I changed templates. I have done this before but my layout page still freezes up. Today I noticed a message that said "Error on page: Java Script void". I don't know what that means so if someone out there does, would you please let me know. Or if you know why my blog might be freezing up and not allowing me to change colors or fonts or to add new blogs to my list, would you please advise me? Thank you! Update: Well, I have done a number of things to remedy this problem including: changing my security settings, clearing my cache, removing "About Me", removing my shared items, contacting Google's problem group, and I thank those who have helped me, but my layout still freezes my blog halfway up and I have never encountered anything like this before.
