Dr. Alveda King, Pastoral Associate of Priests for Life and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., today reacted to remarks by late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart that compared the killing of George Tiller to the assassination of her uncle. “For LeRoy Carhart to mention the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who worked through peaceful and non-violent means, in the same breath with that of George Tiller, whose work ended peace and brought violence to babies in the womb, is offensive beyond belief,” said Dr. King. “The analogy is just wrong.” “Dr. Carhart also speaks of hate crimes,” added Dr. King. “I would simply ask him, is it not hateful to regard an entire class of people as non-human because they’re unwanted?” Fr. Via Wichita Eagle : The suspect in this morning's fatal shooting of George Tiller is in custody, according to emergency dispatchers. Authorities have yet to release more information about the arrest. Wichita police have scheduled a 4 p.m. news conference to discuss the case. I found this story very interesting as it is common knowledge in Wichita that Tiller has a tendency to vandalize his own clinic in order to ellicit sympathy for himself. He's done it before and there's nothing to stop him from doing it again. Now that "Mamma Sebelius" has left him and run off to DC to become HHS Secretary for Obama, his security blanket has been taken away. Poor Baby Killer Tiller! It's time to start doling out some blood money to the interim Kansas governor.

A Kansas resident who has testified before legislative committees several times on her personal experience of being coerced into having an abortion asked Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to sign legislation that would tighten Kansas abortion laws. Michelle Armesto-Berge issued her plea at a Tuesday afternoon press conference in Topeka. She urged Sebelius to sign Senate Bill 218, which the Legislature passed last week. Armesto-Berge said she was manipulated by her parents to have an abortion at George Tiller’s Wichita clinic when she was 25 weeks pregnant. Armesto-Berge said her unborn child was poisoned before she was given a consent form, or before she filled out a medical questionnaire. The legislation would amend the late-term abortion law so abortion providers are more likely to be held accountable for their actions, and to follow the law.
