Laura Ingraham - 'Hooking Kids on Sex'

Image
On the Laura Ingraham radio program, Laura and Raymond Aroyo discuss American Life League's popular ALL Report 'Hooking Kids on Sex' mentioned in a Washington Times column on March 26, 2013 . Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion chain and they are in the business of promoting sex to make money. The graphic (and very often pornographic) materials and speech that are used not only encourage children to think more about sex, but it takes away from the sacredness of the act, which was intended by God to be only for one man and one woman within the bond of marriage. It is obvious that “sex education” is PP’s modus operandi for indoctrinating and attracting new young customers through direct marketing to them in our schools.

A.L.L.: WILL A CATHOLIC U.S. SUPREME COURT CHECK SOCIAL JUSTICE AT THE DOOR?

Washington, DC (05 October 2009) – As the United States Supreme Court gathers today for the first day of the Court’s new session, six of nine Justices are Catholics – a historic makeup with far-reaching implications. “At a time when the nation is more embroiled than ever over the atrocity of abortion, will the six of the nine justices have the moral compass to recognize human rights for those not yet born, instead of a political agenda which has, sadly, functioned in place of Justice since 1973,” said American Life League President Judie Brown on the group’s fifth annual Pro-Life Memorial Day – a national event to mark the Court’s first day back in session. As Catholics take a more prominent place in the nation's politics and culture, the debate is heating up over the Church’s role in health care and advocacy of the human personhood movement. The current makeup of the Supreme Court is expected to rule on the question of human personhood, as five states push initiatives to am...

STOPP Celebrates Imminent Closing of Planned Parenthood Missouri Clinic

Image
Washington, DC (23 September 2009) –  Rita Diller, national director of American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP) project released the following statement regarding the closing of a Planned Parenthood Missouri clinic in Kirksville. “After 38 years in business, Planned Parenthood officials cited declining client numbers and a lack of donations as reasons for closing the facility. According to our records this marks the 14th Planned Parenthood clinic to either close or announce its closing in 2009. “It just goes to prove that when people find out the truth about Planned Parenthood, they stop contributing and quit going.” ~ Via Katie Walker at American Life League.

Obamacare: Ending the Elderly

American Life League exposes the euthanasia agenda of the sponsors of HR 3200. Henry Waxman and co-sponsors John Dingell, George Miller, Peter Stark, and Frank Pallone all voted against a federal ban on use of drugs for physician assisted suicide. Not only that, Barack Obama equates physician assisted suicide with "end of life issues" and "the elderly."

ALL: BISHOPS MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN CHRIST-CENTERED CARE AND OBAMACARE

Washington, DC (09 September 2009) – As Obama prepares to address the nation Wednesday on his health care plan, American Life League challenged the nation's Catholic bishops to be prepared to shut down Catholic health care and make it clear that they prefer this action to compromising with the intrinsic evils currently contained in various Obama care proposals. "Obama speaks tonight. Christ speaks always. When it comes to health care reform which road will our Catholic bishops take?" the group asked in a Washington Times ad. The ad highlighted six principled positions Catholic-supported health care must include: opposition to abortion, contraception, sterilization, human embryonic stem cell therapy, euthanasia and assisted suicide. Judie Brown, president of American Life League, the country's largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization, said the ad addressed a critical question from the nation's lay Catholic faithful: Why are the bishops largely remai...

AMERICAN LIFE LEAGUE ENDORSES MONTANA PERSONHOOD MOVEMENT

Image
The following is a statement from Judie Brown, president of American Life League and member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, regarding the Montana Pro-Life Coalition's effort to gain legal recognition of human personhood – for the born and preborn. "Recognition of human personhood is not a question of consensus, but a moral imperative grounded in the most basic truths of the Catholic faith. "As the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the country, American Life League applauds Montana’s effort to protect the dignity of every human being as a person from his or her biological beginning. "This courageous effort is rooted in the core principles of Catholic social teaching. Galvanized by a vision of what Pope John Paul II called the “culture of life,” Montanans are promoting the most fundamental human right – the recognition and protection of human personhood – a God-given right the Catholic Church has proclaimed and preached for 2,000 years, a God-gi...

ALL Rallies Diocese to Remove Notre Dame from Catholic Directory

Image
American Life League will lead a prayer rally on the steps of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in the diocese of Fort Wayne/South Bend today to encourage Bishop John D’Arcy to remove Notre Dame from “The Official Catholic Directory.” The group says more than 40 years of dissent from official Catholic Church teaching disqualifies the school from identifying itself as a Catholic institution. American Life League set up operations in Fort Wayne, Indiana, last month in response to the scandal surrounding Notre Dame and the announcement that President Barack Obama, the most pro-abortion president in history, would give the 2009 commencement address and receive an honorary law degree. “We’re begging Bishop John D’Arcy to rebuke this attack on the faith. No more will we tolerate Catholic schools undermining Catholic teaching on life, on marriage ... on the family itself,” said Michael Barnett, American Life League director of leadership development in a letter to the group’s support...

'Sins of Notre Dame' Rally

Image
WHAT: "Revealing the Sins of Notre Dame" - a history of undermining the Catholic Church and a formal appeal to Bishop John D'Arcy of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend to remove the school from the Official Catholic Directory in the wake of the Obama scandal. WHEN: Tuesday, May 5, 6:30 p.m. WHERE: Front Gates of the University of Notre Dame. At the intersection of E. Angela Blvd. and N. Notre Dame Ave. WHO: American Life League, in conjunction with Catholics from Fort Wayne, South Bend and across the country. WHY: Since the early 1960s, the University of Notre Dame has actively undermined Catholic teaching, culminating in an invitation to President Barack Obama to speak at the 2009 May commencement exercises where he is set to receive an honorary law degree. "Notre Dame is placing the souls of millions in jeopardy in exchange for their own prestige," said Mike Barnett, leadership director at American Life League. " The school has no right to sell itsel...

NAPOLITANO NASTINESS

I reported on this craziness earlier ... but now a lawsuit has been filed. Michael Savage has filed a federal lawsuit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The Thomas More Law Center , a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced Thursday that it filed a federal lawsuit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The lawsuit claims that her Department’s “Rightwing Extremism Policy,” as reflected in the recently publicized Intelligence Assessment, “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” violates the civil liberties of combat veterans as well as American citizens by targeting them for disfavored treatment on account of their political beliefs. Click here to read the complaint filed by the Thomas More Law Center. Napolitano tried to blunt the public furor over the Report by a half-hearted apology to veterans, but she left out of her apology all of the oth...

Two Reports Show Planned Parenthood's Main Focus: Abortion

Despite a massive public relations effort to distance itself from one of its main sources of income, two new reports, including the group's annual report, show a huge increase in Planned Parenthood's abortion business. In addition to the annual report, American Life League also released a report last month showing an increase in the number of Planned Parenthood facilities performing medical abortions. “ Planned Parenthood has increased its number of abortions to a total of 305,310 which is over 15,000 more babies than it reported to have killed in 2006,” said Marie Hahnenberg, ALL researcher. “We also learned from our 2008 Report on Planned Parenthood facilities that Planned Parenthood is focusing more on killing preborn babies through medical abortions.” Read the Full Story here.

OBAMA CHRONICLES V: CONTRARY TO CONSCIENCE

Image
by Judie Brown It has been a very interesting few days. Analyzing the latest presidential escapades is not always as straightforward as one might wish, but one thing has become perfectly clear to me. There is no way that a sound-thinking, upright Christian member of the medical community is going to be able to survive under the Obama onslaught unless at some level, lawmakers or judges see through the dictatorial attitudes of a president who appears to have no respect for anyone’s perspective other than his own. For those who honestly believed the president truly meant what he suggested about being somewhat moderate in his administration’s abortion policies, the following should shake up your granola big time. I am speaking, of course, of the latest Obama administration announcement that ... ( Read More )

Training And Activism 2009

Senator wants to defund Planned Parenthood

Now, here's one senator I wholeheartedly support: Republican Senator Tim Huelskamp explains why he believes it is time to drop funding of the abortion provider. "Planned Parenthood has been under criminal investigation for nearly a year now, and they've found probable cause to have committed 107 misdemeanor and felony counts in our state," he contends. ALL Conference to Feature Pro-life New Media Stars

Washington, DC (10 December 2008) – American Life League will feature two of the most innovative new voices in the pro-life movement at their Training and Activism Week and Personhood Conference Jan. 21-23. The TAW will feature Jill Stanek, renowned pro-life blogger and former nurse who launched the Born Alive Truth campaign during the 2008 presidential elections, and Lila Rose, the UCLA student president of Live Action Films who outed Planned Parenthood's cover-up of statutory rape and acceptance of racially motivated donations." Jill and Lila's work with new technology and media has helped uncover the truly despicable activity of the pro-abortion movement in America as well as introduce a whole new generation of people to the war on the preborn," said Marie Hahnenberg, project director for ALL's Personhood Conference and Rock for Life's Training and Activism Week. "Jill and Lila have invigorated and inspired thousands of people to take a stand for life ...

Texas Takes Friendship to a New Level

by Judie Brown The Texas state motto is friendship, a single word that is loaded with immense meaning in view of recent news from the state. It would appear that a deeper affection for the preborn child is affecting the way Texans think and act. Just a few days ago in Corpus Christi, pro-life activists took to the streets to protest the killing of preborn children. It all started at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and according to news reports, "hundreds of Catholics filled the streets." In fact, the news item was so heartening that that it reminded me of the old days when protests were in their prime and the media was hard-pressed to ignore them. Three days after this report appeared on the local news, another report came across the airwaves announcing that a $30,000 grant earmarked for Planned Parenthood would not be made. One councilwoman made it perfectly clear: "It's inappropriate to use taxpayer money." After the councilwoman made this simple statement, ...

Pro-lifers promote 'personhood' concept nationwide

With a pro-abortion president soon taking the helm in Washington, the pro-life movement will stay focused while also pursuing new ideas. Katy Walker of the American Life League (ALL) says old approaches will continue, but a relatively new method will be pursued. "The idea of personhood in this movement is really the only thing, the only option left to us, and it's one of the best options and one of the most beautiful concepts I've heard in a long time," she contends. "We're very excited about it." She defines the term. "Personhood is the idea. It's cultural change and legislative change, working towards defining all human beings as persons," Walker explains. "It's the last frontier of the civil rights movement -- that every human being deserves his rights under the law." Entire Story

The bishops will discuss the practical and pastoral implications of political support for abortion at the meeting. WHY: Over 123 U.S. bishops spoke out against abortion in the 2008 presidential election, yet pro-abortion Catholic politicians continue to shape abortion policy while receiving Holy Communion in dioceses across the country. Are Catholics heeding the words of their bishops? How will the Catholic bishop's enfo...

MAYHEM, MADNESS and MEANNESS

Here is an excerpt from Judie Brown's excellent commentary on the election: Recently, in Colorado, as you know, the media assisted organizations such as Planned Parenthood in confusing the public by using innuendo and half-truths to accomplish their goal of defeating the personhood amendment. As attorney and noted pro-life expert John Archibold commented in the Colorado Steamboat Pilot & Today newspaper , The first paragraph of your news story re Amendment 48 states that fertilized eggs won't be given the same rights as human beings – this implies that there are two distinct categories – fertilized eggs and human beings. But there are not two categories since fertilized eggs are a subcategory of human beings just as are zygotes, embryos, fetuses, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults are. The Colorado Supreme Court, prior to the legalization of abortion in 1967, said that a child includes the unborn from the moment of conception. Amendment 48 merely wanted to...
