Nearly 20,000 young people from Abruzzo and Molise welcomed Pope Francis at the sanctuary of Castelpetroso. The Pope expressed his concern with unemployment, an issue close to home for the massive group. POPE FRANCIS "It's sad to find youth in this particular situation. They do not study, because they cannot, they don't have the possibility. Nor do they work. And this is the challenge that as a community, we all need to overcome. We need to move forward to overcome this challenge. The two day event addressed the state of 29 million people worldwide considered to be modern slaves.   PROF. We received 49 proposals from the participants, and we hope to draft a statement on behalf of our academies.” The Vatican will sort the proposals and complete a statement in the coming weeks. Today, I learned from a reader the startling news that Obama voters were right about our taxes being reduced: Jean, Obama voters were right -- I will have my taxes reduced. I won't be paying any income taxes for a while, nor will over 2,300 other people. That is the minimum number of people being laid off here in Wichita. Today, I became a part of that statistic when I was laid off for "business reasons." That number includes: 500 employees from Cessna Aircraft, 500 from Hawker Beechcraft, 500 at Spirit Aerosystems and 800 at Boeing Aircraft. This town went from busting at the seams just one month ago, to laying off now. Boeing and Cessna were posting record sales, Cessna had a 10 year backlog of orders. Right at the time of Obama's election, all hiring was frozen and now we have lay-offs.
