Pope Francis sent special condolences to those parents who lost their children in a tornado that killed around 100 people in Oklahoma. “I am close to the families of all who died in the Oklahoma tornado, especially those who lost young children,” the Pope said on his Twitter account on May 21. “Join me in praying for them,” he added. Pope Francis also tweeted the same message in Spanish. Earlier in the day during his morning Mass in the Vatican, the Pope personally added a prayer intention for the tornado victims and those who are missing, especially the children. Sarah Palin: A Few Words, Photos, Posts, and Links

Image
Sarah Palin is a woman who seemingly has it all -- beauty, brains, confidence, courage, grace, high morals, strength, wit, and a loving and supportive family. It's no wonder the left (the culture of death) feels so threatened by her -- the fear, the jealousy, and the judgementalism in the media, the blogs, and even among the Hollywood celebrities -- is exploding. Sarah has been blessed in so many ways, and, in turn, has blessed others with her gifts. She is like many women out there, who give so much of themselves to their families and to their jobs. She admits that like many families today, hers is not perfect -- they have trials just like everyone else. In Memory of Pope John Paul II

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the death of our beloved Pope John Paul II. I look forward to his canonization, which seems to be getting closer with the miracles that have been reported lately. Bill and I spent yesterday evening watching our favorite film of his life – Pope John Paul II -- starring John Voight and Carl Elwes. Jon Voight was so convincing in the role of John Paul II that I nearly crossed myself each time he gave his papal blessing. While I never met Pope John Paul II in person, I believe that his life had a profound impact on my spirituality as well as my return to the Catholic Church in 1987, following a 15 year absence. Can you imagine what the world would be like without him? His life touched the lives of so many and drew thousands to the faith and to holy vocations. I want to share with you my post from last year, POPE JOHN PAUL THE GREAT: MY FAVORITE MEMORIES , which contains many photos and some words from Cardinal Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI. (I have had the...
