Johnson County District Attorney Phill Kline announced this evening that he is running for re-election to the post, just one day short of the filing deadline. As attorney general and later as district attorney, the pro-life Republican has been embroiled in a battle against Planned Parenthood due to their illegal late-term abortions. In his statement to the press tonight, Kline mentioned his unresolved criminal investigation against Planned Parenthood of Olathe. It appears PP, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, and the corrupt KS judicial system are trying to run out the clock on Kline's landmark criminal case against the abortion giant. Kline's announcement means a August primary face-off against Steve Howe, who KS Sens. Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts have already endorsed. American Life League's survey reveals that Planned Parenthood is streamlining its business. The good news is that PP is facing a crisis: while the sterile culture of death grows old, the culture of life continues to be invigorated by energized and active young people.

Yesterday, in Judge Tatum's court in Johnson County, District Attorney Phill Kline presented evidence to show that Planned Parenthood's lawyers may have a conflict of interest in representing Planned Parenthood in Kline's case against Planned Parenthood. The hearing was valuable for uncovering actions indicating Sebelius' hand-picked AG, Paul Morrison, gravely misused his office both to help Planned Parenthood avoid prosecution, as well as to hide all his court maneuverings on their behalf. (Court filings on these matters have been unjustifiably "sealed" from public scrutiny since at least June). McManus of the Diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts has condemned the decision by the Jesuit-run College of the Holy Cross to rent meeting space to a conference that includes Planned Parenthood and NARAL workshops. He has asked the college president, Father Michael C. McFarland, to cancel the event's reservations. The president's refusal could endanger the college's official Catholic standing. The Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy's Teen Pregnancy Institute is scheduled to use the college's conference facilities on October 24.
