Sarah of Just Another Day of Catholic Pondering has done a beautiful job of hosting The Loveliness of Rosaries Fair today. You will find an amazing treasury of rosary reflections there. What a wonderful way for Catholic women to show their love for Mother Mary! During the month of May, in addition to working at my two businesses, I am enrolled in an in depth Bible study course on the Blessed Mother and the mysteries of the rosary and their corresponding scriptures passages. I was so happy to see these posts which correspond to my studies.

This is a beautiful assortment of lilies near our pond. Some purple to add color. I love these little flowers - they're so dainty and delicate. My favorite lilies are the pink. It looks like the high humidity is showing up in this photo. The pink roses decorate the side of our house. The fragrant Moon flowers open up only at night. We have several flowers and blooms on this plant now, which has grown considerably. The blooms are satiny and they are as white as freshly fallen snow. Photographer: my husband, Bill

Saturday is the day we honor Mary, Mother of God, and our Mother. To dedicate Saturday in honor of Mary is an ancient custom. It is based on a legendary account that Jesus appeared to Mary on the Saturday, the day after, his death. He did so to reward her for her steadfast faith in his divinity, which did not waver under the Cross. To learn more about this about this beautiful Catholic tradition, click here. The Latin words to this hymn are as follows: Ave María, grátia plena, Dóminus tecum. Benedícta tu in muliéribus, et benedíctus fructus ventris tui, Jesus. Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatóribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen. English Translation: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
