At roughly 10:10 a.m president Barack Obama arrived to the Vatican amid high security measures. He was first welcomed by Georg Gänswein, who serves as the Prefect of the Papal Household. After making his way along the Vatican halls, Obama greeted Pope Francis just before 10:30 a.m. This is the first meeting between Pope Francis and president Obama. Jill Stanek shares an interview from the Today Show in which President Obama is directly asked about Kermit Gosnell, She also exposes evidence which confirms that Obama supports infanticide. It never ceases to amaze me how the mainstream media can close their eyes and ears to the truth when it is bleeding and screaming out all around them. What is obvious to you and me is not obvious to those who are continually wearing blinders and ear plugs. And, when Obama dances around an issue, their typical response is: "What an articulate man!" or other such nonsense.  It is well worth the read.

A proposed requirement that all Americans buy health insurance does in fact include a "tax" increase , according to the Senate -- even though President Obama insisted Sunday that it "absolutely" does not. In this video clip, he gives George Stenapholous a stern talking to for suggesting that a mandate for health insurance would amount to a tax, while the proposed plan by Senator Max Baucus, D-Montana, explicitly labels the penalty attached to the mandate as an "excise tax." Thousands of abortions involving underage girls are occurring in Scotland, although the children have taken classes on alleged "comprehensive sex education." The news comes after the British Medical Journal released a report on the U.K.'s sex education program, which Valerie Huber of the  National Abstinence Education Association  calls an utter failure. "The thing that really makes it interesting though, related to what's going on here in the U.S., is that [the Scots] implemented a program that the president is describing as a promising, in fact a successful program that he wants to replicate with your and my tax dollars here in the United States," she notes. While expressing support for some kind of health care reform, Cardinal Justin Rigali, the chair of the U.S. Bishops’ Secretariat on Pro-Life Activities, says the present reform proposal is “seriously deficient” because it bypasses restrictions on the federal funding of abortion and allows federal officials to make unlimited abortion a mandated benefit. Yes, I agree with this. Obama's health care reform plan forces taxpayers to pay for abortions, which violates their consciences and forces them to finance legislation, which is not only immoral, but is destructive to a human being's physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being. I wish these women would have let Michelle finish her sentences and make her point before they began to interrupt her. Their behavior seems rude to me. However, Michelle kept talking and was able to state her case here. Once again, she holds her own and comes across as strong and confident. It is also annoying that they keep bringing up the Bush administration when that is not the topic of discussion. Apparently, Joy Behar is not familiar with Tom Daschle, his appointment as Secretary of Health and Human Services, or his withdrawal for cheating on his taxes.

Gov. Sarah Palin has signed a joint resolution declaring Alaska's sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution – and now 36 other states have introduced similar resolutions as part of a growing resistance to the federal government . Just weeks before she plans to step down from her position as Alaska governor, Palin signed House Joint Resolution 27 sponsored by state Rep. Mike Kelly on July 10, according to a Tenth Amendment Center report. The resolution "claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States." Kansas Rep. Todd Tiahrt touched off a controversy last Thursday when he urged Congress not to fund abortions in D.C., pointing out that had such funding existed years ago it could have snuffed out the African-American luminaries of today before they were born. The children aborted in Washington, D.C., correlating to the city's community of poor on a whole, are disproportionately African-American. During his remarks the Kansas congressman called for an up-or-down vote in the House of Representatives on the abortion funding in the Financial Services Appropriations bill. President Barack Obama named Alabama physician Regina Benjamin as the next Surgeon General of the United States. Benjamin is an African-American doctor who is known for rebuilding her medical clinic after it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and then ravaged by fire in 2006. However, Benjamin has also urged that future physicians be trained to learn how to perform abortions. More here. Pope Benedict XVI received President Barack Obama this afternoon in his private library, and after 36 minutes of private conversation, the pair emerged without providing any details about their topics of conversation. Nevertheless, the Holy See revealed that the Pope gave Obama an “unannounced gift”--a Vatican document on bioethics and the right to life.
