PRI has released a new video skewering President Obama’s purported health care reform, a video which characterizes the plan as a large, not-terribly-bright dog—well-meaning, but unwittingly destructive. “This government plan is heavy-handed, out-of-touch, and ultimately not the answer to whatever health care problems are out there,” said Colin Mason, PRI’s Director of Media Production. “This cartoon is intended to illustrate that in a way that we can all relate to:.” The video was hand-animated by PRI staffers Joseph Powell and Joan Robinson, who stated that they don’t believe there is anything else quite like this on the health-care video scene. “In addition to being hand-animated by our staff,” said Powell, “we think its quality, simply as a humorous piece, is pretty high. What a great idea! CNA reports: Matthew Lickona, author of “Swimming with Scapulars: True Confessions of a Young Catholic,” is now releasing a five-part comic series about a fetus named Alphonse who survives an abortion attempt and “sets out on a mission of revenge,” while his only friend persistently reminds him that payback isn’t the answer. The first issue, titled, “Untimely Ripp’d” is described as a story about the intersection of eight lives following an attempted abortion on Alphonse. For readers unfamiliar with the Japanese cartoons known as “Manga,” the powers attributed to Alphonse might seem ridiculous. But the exaggeration of emotions, actions and powers is part and parcel of the Manga style, which has become quite popular with American youth in the form of “Anime.” The comic’s website explains that Alphonse is "grotesquely abnormal" due to his mother’s “use of controlled substances” which has left him “both sentient and coordinated.” “He is also deeply wounded,...

Obama will soon be ensconced in the Oval Office, with all the people who helped put him there lined up outside for goodies. At the head of the line will be Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. What will they ask for? The three things that they want from a President Obama are more money for their contraception and sterilization programs, an end to any and all restrictions on abortions, and taxpayer funding, including funding for abortion itself. Judging by what Obama has said over the course of the campaign, he will be happy to grant their wishes. MORE
