"IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU SHOULD BE, YOU WILL SET THE WHOLE WORLD ON FIRE."
"LET THE TRUTH BE YOUR DELIGHT.... PROCLAIM IT..., BUT WITH A CERTAIN CONGENIALITY." ~ St. Catherine of Siena
"To be actively pro-life is to contribute to the renewal of society through the promotion of the common good. It is impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are founded and from which they develop." ~ Pope John Paul II, The Gospel of Life, n.101
Everything is grace, everything is the direct effect of our Father's love.Everything is grace because everything is God's gift.Whatever be the character of life or its unexpected events -- to the heart that loves, all is well.

"Thank you, Jean....Awesome, Awesome information for those of us who are........may I say politically illiterate, but wanting to vote educated!! I'm leaning on you for voting info!!"

"Jean of Catholic Fire...provides so much informative content. She posts about pro-life issues and events, what happened 'on this day', biographies of saints, prayer intentions, and lots more each day. No matter what she's posting about, I can always come away each day feeling uplifted...and that's saying a lot for me, as I'm someone who often tries to avoid thinking about some of the political and other issues that she posts about. It must be her strong faith and trust in God, as well as her love, shining through her posts, that inspire me." Margaret Mary Myers , Reflections, Catholic BVI Readers, VIP Homeschooler.
"PH, NC, RT, IT, O, H+, R+, T, C, NLU, AM, BS, F... Take that, Catholic Fire! You think you can curse us with your Latin language stuff? Well, try this on for size: May your life-spirit be exchanged with that of an polar bear who has just been stranded on an ice-floe that broke off because of global warming!" Father Tim, Spirit of Vatican 2
A new ABC-TV special, Heaven... Where is it? How do we get there? A Barbara Walters Special will air on Tuesday, Dec. 20 9:00 pm EST, featuring Anthony DeStefano, author of A Travel Guide to Heaven, in two segments. No matter who they have on, we're still talking about something Barbara Walters has her hand in. She'll have the last sinful word, you wait and see. That sounds kind of cynical and mean, doesn't it? Well, you reap what you sow, I guess.
I am not to sure i can trust a main stream media special on How to Get to Heaven, unless it was a two hour interview with the Pope.
Now if the media ever did a special on "How to go to Hell," then they just might be on to something. Then again, their cardinal sins would be "homophobia," or "being anti-choice."
I was disappointed with the show and also bored with it, so I got some writing done while my husband switched it to the History channel.
I did get to see Cardinal McCarrick talk a little, but I couldn't believe it when Barbara Walters asked him if there was sex in heaven. Was she hoping to catch him off guard or attempting to "shock" him or was she attempting to flirt with him? It's just like someone in the secular media to ask a question like that. You would think she might come up with something a little more original than that.
I'm glad you watched a little of it, I was afraid I might actually miss something good. But, I obviously didn't. It frustrates me too much to watch those kind of programs.
Rick and I watched a show with James Van Praagh (the guy who claims he talks with dead people). He was asked what heaven looked like and he said "it's beautiful with meadows and hills". Rick and I laughed at that. I guess he felt safe with any answer...who's going to prove him wrong?

I like to watch these secular news people interview people who are real Christians and authentic Catholics.
Remember the Diane Sawyer interview with Mel Gibson? Now THAT was interesting. I love the way Mel answered her questions and explained things to her.
God bless,
Jean

Fidei Defensor,
I am still laughing at your comment.
