Proposition 73 Has been Resurrected in California --alleluia!

From the Capitol Resource Institute, Capitol Update, December 1, 2005:

At the end of this year’s special election, the final tally of the votes revealed that Prop 73 was defeated by a very slim margin. While those of us who worked hard for “Yes on Prop 73” were saddened at its defeat, we were also determined to keep up the good fight and not give up.

To this end, we are encouraged and excited to announce that Prop 73 has been resurrected! New language, similar to Prop 73, was submitted yesterday to the Attorney General to appear on the November 7 ballot next year.

“We are energized by the prospect of winning the battle for parental notification next year,” said Karen England of Capitol Resource Institute. “We were so close this past year and the momentum is definitely in our favor. A parent’s right to help guide their daughter through an abortion decision is extremely important. CRI will once again play an active role to protect young girls, preserve parental rights, and save innocent lives.”

  2. Thank you, Moneybags. I have been reading your blog, A Catholic Life, and enjoy that a great deal. Today, I learned about your other blog, Holy Rosary, which looks wonderful. I believe it was Fr. Frank Pavone who said that the rosary is our greatest weapon in fighting abortion. I say the rosary daily for that intention.

    God bless you,
    Jean
