Five People in Five Categories Meme

"If you could meet and have a deep conversation with any five people on earth, living or dead, from any time period, who would they be?" (Explaining why is optional.)

Name five people from each of the following categories:
Saints, Those in the Process of Being Canonized, Heroes from your native country, Authors/Writers, celebrities.

Five Saints: (Limiting it to 5 is difficult.)

1. St. John, the Evangelist
2. St. Catherine of Siena
3. St. Therese of Lisieux
4. St. Gianna Molla Beretta
5. St. Teresa Benedicta

(Saint Gianna ties with St. Maximilian Kolbe as my favorite pro-life saint.) How I wish I could fit Padre Pio in here!

Those in the Process of Being Canonized:

1. Pope John Paul II
2. Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
3. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
4. Martha Robin
5. Dorothy Day

Five U.S. Heroes:

1. Abraham Lincoln
2. Thomas Jefferson
3. George Washington
4. Those who died in 9-11 saving the lives of others
5. Senator Sam Brownback

Five Authors/Writers:

1. St. Augustine
2. St. Francis de Sales
3. St. Thomas Aquinas
4. St. Teresa of Avila
5. St. Louis de Montfort

Five Celebrities:

1. Jim Cavezeil
2. Nicole Kidman
3. Mel Gibson
4. Andrea Boccelli
5. Pope Benedict XVI -- He may not be a Hollywood celebrity, but he fits into this category.

Tag Five People:

1. Moneybags at A Catholic Life.
2. Julie at Happy Catholic.
3. Deb at Ukok's Place.
4. Barb at SFO Mom.
5. Jay at Pro Ecclesia * Pro Familia * Pro Civitate.

Anyone else who would like to respond to this meme is invited to do so. Be sure to tag five people.
